Michelle Kaplan-Cohen recently graduated top of her class with an MBA from the University of Maryland. Previously she graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Maryland. She attended primary and secondary school in the Montgomery County Public Schools system. Michelle scored in the 98-99th percentile on the PSAT, SAT, and ACT, earned mostly 5's on her AP exams, and graduated from high school with a perfect 4.0 GPA (4.85 weighted GPA).
Over the past decade, Michelle tutored part-time while working in the biomedical field. Michelle researched lung cancer at the NIH, provided life-saving treatments as a charge EMT, and managed a successful healthcare start-up. With the realization that her passion and talent for facilitating individual student achievement was greater than even her contribution to individual patient outcomes, Michelle launched an educational services company, Kaplan-Cohen Tutoring, where she expertly matches students to tutors. Personally, Michelle specializes in teaching math and science, ACT/SAT preparation, and working with neuroatypical students with learning differences. She has also recently published several test prep guides for the math-phobic.
